Representation of Eco-Counter solutions as part of Nodeon’s operations
The representation of Eco-Counter active traffic counting solutions and services in Finland was transferred to Nodeon at the beginning of 2023.
Nodeon have merged Finn-Raj Oy (previous Eco-Counter representative in Finland) Eco-Counter related business operations as part of Nodeon business. In this context, Nodeon started as the sole representative of Eco-Counter's solutions in Finland. Reijo Onikki, Finland's longest-term expert in @Eco-Counter solutions, will be on Nodeon's journey until 2023.
Eco-Counter is the global market leader in active traffic measurement solutions, and in Finland their measurement solutions are used by around 40 municipalities and cities. For Nodeon, this move is an important part of the country's leading measurement solutions specialist's strategy.

Roads and Traffic Days 2023 underway! After a four-year break, the enthusiasm to see industry players and have discussions is intense. The organizer announced that there were less than 10 cancellations out of more than 700 people who signed up!
There has also been a lot of traffic and interesting discussions at Nodeon's stand. In the foreground, of course, are Nodeon's services and solutions for the development of an intelligent transport system. At Nodeon's booth also representatives of measurement solutions from Germany (smartmicro) and France (Eco-Counter).

Nodeon was involved in the Sea4Value Smart Terminals research project orchestrated by DIMECC Oy, the final seminar of which was held in beautiful premises in Turku's Kakola. Lots of great presentations on what the smart port terminal of the future should be like and a breathtaking amount of new research and development perspectives from both private sector operators and research communities.
It is also worth noting in this topic that it is challenging to get from the management of parts to the management of wholes. On the other hand, if these things were easy, they would have been solved already.
The new generation of guidance and warning systems offered to vehicle drivers will soon make their way to Finland as well. In the new generation of smart mobility solutions, roadside devices and vehicles talk to each other.
The city of Tampere and Fintraffic Tie Oy will be the first in Finland to start testing new generation solutions in a real traffic environment. In the first phase, the goal is to transmit information about traffic light intersections to background systems. During the experiments in Finland, Nodeon develops the company's Asgard product family towards a new generation of mobility solutions.

Nodeon implements future traffic management in Finland
Great news from the C-ITS frontier. Nodeon has been selected as the supplier for the C-ITS environment in the city of Tampere and national road network (Fintraffic Tie Oy).
The goal of the NordicWay3 project in Finland is to collect and harmonize data from intelligent traffic light controlling devices and to test and develop C-ITS solutions and services suitable for the urban environment based on the available information. To achieve these goals, the chosen technical solution must support international standards and architectures to ensure interoperability. The project is carried out in cooperation with the Dutch company Monotch.
Tampere Smart City Week 2022
We will participate in the Tampere Smart City Week 2022 event with Siili Solutions on June 14–15, 2022.
We present the Data Refinery - Smart City platform implemented for the city of Kuopio. The Smart City platform built jointly by Nodeon and Siili creates the basis for Kuopio's smart city development. Data processing can be used to collect, process, visualize and share data.

The city of Kuopio has boldly embarked on a large-scale project to develop a new kind of smart city platform, the aim of which is to develop knowledge management skills, promote a circular economy and low carbon, and support sustainable lifestyles.

While Nodeon has been prominently featured on social media and in the press for its advanced C-ITS experiments in Jätkäsaari district (Helsinki city), we are pleased to witness that the number of LinkedIn followers has finally exceeded a thousand!

Ideapark Commercial City in Lempäälä attracts up to 7 million visitors a year, and 99 per cent of them arrive by car, Nodeon carried out a traffic flow analysis for Ideapark in late winter 2019.
